J. Timothy Worthington, President
With over 30 year’s experience, Tim Worthington is a recognized and well respected leader in the lodging industry. Prior to forming The Worthington Group, Mr. Worthington was President and Chief Operating Officer of General Hotel Corporation where he oversaw the development and ongoing management of a $150 million portfolio of ten hotels with over 1,800 rooms. In addition to his involvement in the development of new hotel properties at General Hotels, he had direct profit and loss responsibility for a regional hospitality organization with over 1,200 employees and annual operating revenues exceeding $60 million. In 2005 Tim spearheaded the development of Indiana’s first indoor water park, the extremely successful $9.5 million Caribbean Cove facilityat the 335-room Holiday Inn North in Indianapolis.

Mr. Worthington is active in many national and local organizations and has served as state director of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, past president of the International Association of Holiday Inns and director and past president of Indiana Hotel and Lodging Association. In addition to holding a CHA designation, Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and is currently teaching Lodging Management at Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

Michael T. Arnold, Vice President
With extensive experience in single and multi-unit hotel operations, Mr. Arnold brings valuable operations management credentials to The Worthington Group, Responsible for human resources, housekeeping, maintenance and food and beverage operations, Hotels under his management have consistently outperformed the market. Over his 22 years in the industry, Mike has managed the virtual spectrum of lodging facilities: full-service, limited-service and extended stay. His extensive background in sales and operations management provides the company with a full range of hotel management skill sets. Throughout his career, Michael has been a focused project analyst and turn-around expert.

Mr. Arnold is a “Leader/Coach” who credits much of his success to the implementation of shared visions and the power of motivated teams
